David B. Ruderman

David B. Ruderman is a renowned American historian specializing in modern Jewish history. He has held the distinguished position of Joseph Meyerhoff Professor of Modern Jewish History at the University of Pennsylvania, and has also served as the Ella Darivoff Director of the Herbert D. Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies at the university from 1994 to 2014. Additionally, he was a fellow at the center from 2017 to 2018. Ruderman's academic background is rooted in prestigious institutions, including the City College of New York, the Teacher's Institute of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, and Columbia University.
