Hans Berliner

His notable achievements in the field of chess include becoming the World Correspondence Chess Champion, a title he held from 1965 to 1968. This accomplishment earned him the prestigious title of Grandmaster of Correspondence Chess, recognizing his exceptional skill and expertise in the game.
In addition to his chess career, Berliner was a distinguished academic and researcher. He served as a Professor of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, where he applied his knowledge of computer science to the field of chess.
