Kinneret Shiryon is a pioneering figure in Israeli Judaism, notable for being the first female rabbi in the country. Rabbi Shiryon serves as the spiritual leader of Kehillat Yozma, a Reform congregation based in Modi'in. She was a founding member of the congregation, which was established in 1997. Under her guidance, Kehillat Yozma has achieved significant milestones, including becoming the first non-Orthodox congregation in Israel to receive state funding for its synagogue. This achievement reflects her dedication to advancing the presence and recognition of Reform Judaism in Israel.
