Matisyahu Salomon

Matisyahu Salomon was a prominent English-born American rabbi who made significant contributions to the field of Judaism. Born in 1937, he went on to become a respected figure in the Orthodox Jewish community, serving as the mashgiach ruchani of Beth Medrash Govoha, a prestigious yeshiva located in Lakewood, New Jersey. In this role, he played a key part in shaping the spiritual and educational landscape of the institution, which is renowned as one of the largest yeshivas in the world.

Throughout his career, Rabbi Salomon was also recognized for his advocacy on issues affecting the Orthodox Jewish community. Notably, he was a vocal opponent of unrestrained internet access, citing concerns about its potential impact on community values. To address this issue, he led a campaign to promote the use of internet filters on computers and smartphones, aiming to balance the benefits of technology with the need to preserve traditional values.
