Henry Siegman

Henry Siegman is a German-born American, born in 1930, who has dedicated his career to activism. He has been a prominent figure in the realm of U.S.-Middle East policy, particularly in regards to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. His work has focused on promoting peace and a dignified resolution to the conflict.

Siegman has been closely associated with the U.S./Middle East Project (USMEP), an initiative that examines the intersection of Middle East issues with global geopolitics. Originally launched by the Council on Foreign Relations in 1994, the USMEP became an independent policy institute in 2006. Siegman served as the President of the USMEP, and as of July 1, 2016, he assumed the title of President Emeritus, marking a significant milestone in his career. Through his work with the USMEP, Siegman has played a key role in shaping discussions and policies related to the Middle East.
